How to tag/label AKS deployments for cost allocation?

Hi all,

since we're getting more and more into FinOps, I was wondering whether it's possible to use labels/tags in our AKS service deployments to allocate costs per service in our FOCUS Cost Summary? We are using a cluster per environment and have only one namespace for all the deployed services. I guess it's already possible to gather insights on a per namespace level when activating cost insights on the AKS cluster, however I didn't see anything to drill-down further.

Has anyone struggled with that already? Any help would be highly appreciated!

I don't think the AKS labels flow into cost details. We have a feature request to do this. I'm hoping the AKS team can help. We'd need to export the AKS usage data, then do a join when we ingest that with cost data. If you end up doing something, we'd love to see a contribution or at least chat about your learnings.
